Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) will host “UNEC Economic Forum Baku 2021” in partnership with The Ministry of Economy of the Republic Azerbaijan, The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and other organizations that is expected to take place on December 01-03, 2021 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Forum will be dedicated to the 30th Anniversary of the restoration of independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Forum will reflect on the path that Azerbaijan has gone through independence comprising a number of socio-economic transformations as well as on the milestones set for the post-pandemic era, such as facilitation of digital economy. Furthermore, it will bring together leading public and private organizations and industry practitioners and, as such, will provide a platform for participants to identify and discuss the most recent economic and social developments, challenges and opportunities.
The major topics will be discussed in the Forum include how to be well-positioned under changing global economic system, key challenges to the global economic growth, high technology-oriented production ecosystem, digital transformation of the economy, green economy and sustainable development, social business, economic challenges of the post-pandemic era, post-pandemic business transformation and a look at the past and future of the Azerbaijan’s economy. There will be diverse speakers from academia including Nobel laureates Muhammad Yunus and Aziz Sancar and the senior executives of major public and private organizations, along with local and international professionals and other experts from the industry. Panel discussions will take place in Gulustan Palace and various other activities such as art exhibition, city tour, meeting with scholars etc. are planned within the Forum.
