As of April 1, 2020, the number of active commercial organizations with foreign investment in Azerbaijan was 1.5-fold more than the previous year, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Taxes.
According to the information, 18.8% of legal entities with foreign investments were local offices or branches of foreign legal entities, 77.3% - LLC, 0.8% - JSC, 0.2% - cooperatives, and 2.8% were in other organizational legal forms.
In March 2020, 173 commercial legal entities with foreign investments were registered, up 1.2-fold (137 units) from 2019. 170 out of these legal entities were active, 3 were shut down. No commercial legal entities with foreign investments were abolished in March.
Among the legal entities registered in March, 34.6% were from Pakistan, 16.1% from Iran, 18.6% from Turkey, 13.8% from India, 8% from Iraq. The number of active commercial organizations with foreign investments registered in March was 1.6-fold higher than in 2019.
Among the commercial legal entities with foreign investments, 36.4% were in service, 16.7% in trade, 8.6% in industry, 6.9% in construction, 2.3% in agriculture, 1.1% in transport, 2.8% in communication, 24.8% in other fields.
